You know I’m nodding my head profusely to this that it may fall off my shoulders.

A book recommendation: Mason Currey’s Daily Rituals: Women at Work. Follows the processes of many women, not just in creativity but multiple fields. The weird and whacky included, but it makes sense for them ❤️🙌🏼

Artist Marisol’s routine started at noon. She ate ham and eggs then went to her studio and would buy things like nails, glue, chair legs etc on the way. She said her research was in the Yellow Pages.

Sculptor Louise Nevelson would get up at 6am and wear cotton clothes so she could sleep in them and work in them (to not waste time). She limited decisions as much as possible and said ‘the physical body is worn out before the creative’ and cited Isak Dinesen who only ate oysters and drank champagne to avoid too many decisions.

"to avoid too many decisions" is also why I only eat caviar and gin. Makes life so much easier 😂😂😂
